Best Practices for Cleaning and Sanitizing your Hotel Bedrooms
Solutions to keep your hotel bedrooms as inviting and comfortable as possible
At Sani Marc, we recommend regularly cleaning and sanitizing all surfaces of the hotel bedroom between guest visits using a trusted solution and microfibre cloth , working your way from the higher areas to the bottom/floor. Make sure to clean all the hard-to-reach places regularly (like light fixtures, headboards, under the bed and the top of dressers and closet spaces).
Wherever upholstery and fabric are involved in the hotel bedroom (including curtains, reading chairs, upholstered headboards), a specialised vacuum brush is required. This allows you to tackle dirt, dust and allergens and ensure the longevity of the furniture/fabric. You can also use an odour control product when needed.
For hard surface flooring (including the bathroom), we recommend cleaning using a mop and a commercial grade cleaner. As for carpets, use a vacuum that can withstand regular commercial use (especially around high foot traffic areas). For best results, start from an inner corner and work your way out to the hotel bedroom door. For deep cleaning, use an encapsulation process.
To get rid of water marks and accumulated soap scum, we recommend using a commercial-grade bathroom/glass cleaner on the hotel room bathroom’s shower tiles and shower fittings, taps and glass surfaces. For the sink and faucet, use a stronger antibacterial cleaner and a microfibre cloth.
Toilets and urinals are known gathering spots for bacteria that can spread to other areas, so regular cleaning and disinfection is an important part of maintaining a clean and healthy environment. Be sure to clean and disinfect toilet seats and the flush handles too. For impeccable toilets and urinals, equip yourself with Sani Marc cleaning products and accessories such as a scrubbing brush and a microfiber cloth.
